Danny Talks About Soccer Aid

McFly's Danny Jones has admitted that he is nervous about lining up for England at this weekend's Soccer Aid event.

The popstar claimed that he was starstruck when surrounded by ex-footballers in the dressing room.

"I'm right-midfield. So I'm going to cross a ball to Alan Shearer!" Jones told DS. "I'm the new David 'fall-over' Beckham. I fall over everywhere. Hopefully, I'll be OK, though.

"I'm not the fittest, but I just grew up playing footy and it's in my blood."

Jones added: "A lot of people are exciting me. My shirt was next to Redknapp, which is pretty epic. Then there's Shearer and Le Saux, Sheringham. I'm looking forward to meeting Figo and Di Canio. It's killer!"

He also revealed that the rest of McFly warned him to perform well in the match for "the band's sake".

The UNICEF charity match, which is hosted by Ant and Dec, airs on ITV on Sunday at 6pm.
