McFly to perform on The Nokia Green Room - Channel 4

C4 plans festive Nokia Green Room special

Whizz Kid Entertainment has been commissioned by Channel 4 to produce an hour-long Christmas special of music show, The Nokia Green Room.

The special will feature performances from the Sugababes and McFly, with further additions to the line-up soon to be announced.

It will initially air on 4Music next month and again on T4 Sunday later in December, with a further showing on T4 Saturday.

The original Nokia Green Room series ran for 15 weeks on C4 in the summer with performances from Kelly Rowland, Gnarls Barkley and the Jonas Brothers, among others.

The Christmas special is to be sponsored by Nokia's 'Comes with Music' service.

Malcolm Gerrie, Whizz Kid's chief executive, said of the C4 commission: "Nokia and C4 are both leading the charge in supporting new brands and major artistes on television, mobile technology and the web and their support and enthusiasm for the programme has reflected this."
